4) RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
KidayaR S624 is a high performance molecular sieve specifically formulated for water and carbon removal from natural gas prior to liquefaction. The binder of the formed product has been treated to convert the amorphous clay portion of the binder into a crystalline structure that resembles , and has adsorption properties similar to, type 5A molecular sieve. KidayaR S624 exhibits maximum adsorption capacity for carbon dioxide and water. The uniformity of the micro-pore and macro-pore structure insures maximum mass transfer efficiency, which results in higher obtainable product purity levels. KidayaR S624 can be installed to upgrade an existing unit’s performance in which the feed CO2 levels have increased beyond the original design limit. Compared to standard type 4A molecular sieve products, KidayaR S624 can provide up to a 35% increase in dynamic capacity.

Handling & Storage Recommendations
Product must be stored in a dry location to prevent pre-adsorption of water. Opened packages should be resealed to prevent contamination of the product. Whenever possible, rotate stock to use oldest material first. If stored properly, KidayaR S624 molecular sieves have an indefinite shelf life, however, material packaged in Super Sacks should be retested for Total Volatiles after 12 months. Material in Drums should be retested after 48 months. ?

7) HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION
KidayaR S624 is a synthetic aluminosilicate bound with a mineral clay. In active conditions it will
release heat when adsorbing water or other substances. If a large quantity of sieve quickly adsorbs water,
the molecular sieve can become hot enough to cause thermal burns of the skin; contact has to be avoided
under these conditions. Information to date indicates that the synthetic aluminosilicate is not toxic and does
not cause fibrosis. The product contains, however, a small amount (ca. 1 %) of quartz carried over from the
mineral binders. At present, EU Regulations do not require safety labelling of products containing quartz.
However, quartz has been recently classified by IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer) as
carcinogenic to humans by inhalation (Group 1). Furthermore, quartz can cause silicosis or other lung
diseases on prolonged exposure. When handling Molecular Sieve Beads the concentration of respirable
quartz in the working environment is expected to be well below the limits allowed by the worker protection
regulations. Nevertheless, the user is responsible for controlling the working environment according to local
regulations, e.g. in the UK: COSHH Regulations; in Germany: Gefahrstoffverordnung and TRGS 900. The
Occupational Exposure Limit for synthetic aluminosilicate in Germany is 6 mg/m3 for fine dust (MAK). The
Occupational Exposure Limit for quartz in Germany is 0.15 mg/m3 for fine dust (MAK). Additional
